About the role

The ElderONE Business Development Specialist (BDS) is the initial and primary point of contact within the community, responsible for outreach, marketing, and generation of new enrollments. The BDS cultivates referral sources to contribute to overall census growth for ILS, fully understanding all aspects of the Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) and services provided. The role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, religious organizations, senior care service providers, and senior housing. The BDS represents ILS professionally and works as part of an intake and assessment team to identify new referral sources, produce leads, generate enrollments, and increase utilization and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes best practices to leverage partners, marketing resources, and creative sources to generate leads.
  • Develops marketing plans that include outreach, enrollment, and utilization strategies.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing plans and tactics; creates segment-specific marketing and sales plans.
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and forecast; adheres to best practices for task follow-up, lead generation, and documentation of sales activity.
  • Ensures all internal transition documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains or exceeds established enrollment, enrollment conversion, and close ratios.
  • Tracks and reports daily/weekly/monthly statistical records to monitor productivity; maintains logs of activities, contacts, and outcomes.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by analyzing consumer requirements, market trends, competitor share, and competitor strengths/weaknesses.
  • Sustains rapport with key referral sources by making periodic visits, exploring needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data and trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Protects organizational value by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides information on health insurance programs and senior health services to the community.
  • Assists in the development and approval of ElderONE marketing materials; evaluates marketing efforts and recommends improvements.
  • Organizes and conducts presentations about ElderONE to referral sources and communities.
  • Adheres to state and federal regulations and policies regarding marketing practices.
  • Reviews marketing activity with the Director as appropriate.
  • Conducts market research, including media selection, promotional items, and target market expansion for lead generation.
  • Evaluates enrollment, utilization, and retention efforts.
  • Represents ElderONE and Rochester Regional Health at community and health events.
  • Provides lead support for outreach and community events.
  • Gives presentations about the ElderONE program to various groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Three years of direct outreach, marketing, or sales experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience and excellence in public speaking.
  • For ElderONE employment: 1 year of experience with a frail elderly population preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $63,000.00 - $80,000.00

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
40 hours per week

Physical Requirements

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
