Business Development Specialist

Surface Experts is an all-inclusive surface repair provider specializing in small damage to floors, countertops, tubs, cabinets, furniture, and more.

About the role

This is a field-based, relationship-building role where you’ll manage the NKY territory, introduce our repair and refinishing services, and develop relationships with Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors. The role offers freedom to structure your day with a structured set of property leads and customers, supported by a team and world-class training at Surface Experts HQ. No prior industry or formal sales experience is required—if you bring the right attributes, we’ll train you to excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily routes, typically visiting 10-15 properties in the NKY territory.
• Meet with Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to introduce services and build relationships.
• Log meeting details in our CRM software.
• Attend weekly team meetings to review performance, share wins, and engage in continuous learning.
• Manage your own daily schedule and route within your territory.

Qualifications

• Coachable: eager to learn, open to feedback, takes responsibility for results, and willing to follow a proven sales playbook.
• Curious: comfortable asking questions and seeks to understand customers first.
• Detail-oriented: executes daily habits (routing, documenting metrics, sending follow-ups) that turn activity into revenue.
