SERVPRO of Coffee, Franklin, Warren Counties · Manchester, TN · 2 mo ago
On-siteBusiness Development$52k/yrFull-time

About the Role

At SERVPRO Team Ridner, we help families and businesses recover after water damage, fire, mold, storms, and other unexpected disasters. We're looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Representative who enjoys meeting new people, building long-term partnerships, and making a real impact in the community. This role is ideal for someone motivated by goals, who enjoys networking, and wants to work for a growing company where effort directly impacts income and career growth.

You'll inherit an established territory with existing referral partners and strong relationships throughout our seven-county service area (Coffee, Franklin, Warren, Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall & Moore Counties). Rather than building a book of business from the ground up, you'll strengthen existing partnerships while creating new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Sales & Territory Management
    • Attend daily team meetings and coaching sessions
    • Plan and execute daily sales routes
    • Prepare for client meetings and prospecting activities
    • Prioritize daily objectives
    • Complete reporting and administrative tasks
  • Business Development
    • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities
    • Execute a structured territory management plan
    • Document customer interactions and sales activity
    • Develop and achieve monthly sales objectives
    • Conduct client appreciation activities
    • Follow up to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Commercial Business Development
    • Present SERVPRO Emergency Ready Plans (ERP)
    • Gather facility information and emergency response data
    • Develop customized preparedness plans for commercial clients
    • Conduct follow-up visits to maintain relationships and readiness
  • Community Involvement
    • Coordinate continuing education events
    • Attend networking functions and community events
    • Participate in professional associations
    • Represent SERVPRO Team Ridner throughout the community

Requirements

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys building relationships and spending time in the community. Most days you'll be meeting with insurance professionals, property managers, business owners, schools, healthcare facilities, municipalities, and other referral partners—not sitting behind a desk.

  • Love meeting new people and building relationships
  • Competitive and motivated by achieving goals
  • Want your effort to directly impact your income
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Stay organized and manage your own schedule effectively
  • Follow through on commitments
  • Build trust naturally rather than relying on high-pressure sales tactics
  • Enjoy networking and becoming involved in your local community
  • Want a long-term career with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

  • Required
    • Minimum of two years of B2B outside sales experience
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Self-motivated and results-driven
    • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM software
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Experience in restoration, construction, property management, insurance, or other service industries
    • Strong business and financial acumen

Pay

  • $52,000 annual base salary
  • Quarterly performance bonus based on 2.5% of qualified referral sales
  • Target first-year earnings of approximately $60,000+

Benefits

  • Paid training and ongoing coaching
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Typical schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Up to 90% local travel throughout the service territory
  • Occasional evening networking events and limited overnight travel

Work Environment

This position combines office work with extensive local travel throughout our service territory. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy being out in the community, building relationships, and working independently.
