Business Development Specialist

Essential Job Functions

• Develops a strategic plan to expand business presence in the market.
• Prepares cost-effective procedures to expand business relationships.
• Affixes such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers, and FAX machines.
• Sits for extended time periods.
• Hearing and vision are within normal ranges.
• Affords assistance with the compilation of lead generation.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates detailed business and functional requirements, documentation, process flows, and data modules to contribute to the development of growth plans.
• Develops and implements business growth objectives.
• Develops measures for evaluating the effectiveness of business relationship building.
• Maintains a strong familiarity with trends in the mortgage banking industry as well as the company's operating policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains a realtor/referral partner database.

Skills

• Lead or supervisory skills.
• Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.

• Tech-savvy in MS Windows software.
• Proven sales skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience, with mortgage industry experience preferred.
