Summary

NASA is seeking a Business Development Specialist to expert guidance, assistance, oversight, and leadership to the Procurement Officer, Contract Specialists, Procurement Analysts, Technical Officers, as well as internal and external customers at all levels of industry, NASA Headquarters, other NASA Centers, and other Government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary contact and interface for internal and external customers, and all supporting organizations involved with business and partnership development activities.
  • Evaluates and manages business development, outreach, and new initiatives, as well as associated programs and projects that affect broad mission areas.
  • Supports or leads business, program, partnership, analytical, or administrative activities to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across organizational levels to support program, mission, or organizational goals.
  • Conducts analyses, evaluates information, and develops recommendations to improve business, program, or partnership activities and support decision-making.
  • Researches and investigates new business opportunities and practices for application to NASA program and mission execution.
  • Makes recommendations for new business development activities that are consistent with NASA competencies and strategic goals.
  • Gathers, interprets, and analyzes information on a wide range of business, real estate, and property management topics and recommends innovative business solutions to meet NASA missions and goals.

Qualifications

  • To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
  • Supporting or leading business, program, partnership, analytical, or administrative activities to achieve organizational objectives;
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across organizational levels to support program, mission, or organizational goals; and
  • Conducting analyses, evaluating information, and developing recommendations to improve business, program, or partnership activities and support decision-making.
