Responsibilities
- Work with customers where business has been lost, by item, by category, to recapture lost revenue.
- Price these opportunities to regain lost revenues.
- Identify and research potential business opportunities within designated field sales territories.
- Utilize various channels for prospecting new and underdeveloped customers and generate high-quality sales leads.
- Expand our presence into all food and beverage business segments.
- Drive Growth with Field Sales Representatives: Collaborate closely with all field sales representatives to provide guidance in growing and expanding their customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and dormant customers, understand their business needs and pain points, and effectively communicate how our company can address these needs.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth at the field sales level.
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and closed business.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs (sales quotas).
- Take ownership of personal performance and continuously seek ways to improve and achieve measurable results.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Professional Selling, Marketing, or Business is a plus.
- Expertise in the food processing industry preferred.
- Telephone and in person sales experience preferred.
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and ZoomInfo is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Must have practical sales experience, preferably in food/meat processing, industrial processing, personal protection equipment, or plant operating supplies.
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
- Experience with IBM I-Series/AS400 operating system highly preferred.
- Travel is required with overnight stays and some weekends.
