Business Development Representative, Commercial
About the role
The Business Development team partners closely with our sales teams to drive the outbound sales efforts in new and existing accounts. As a Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility is to generate sales pipeline through multi-channel prospecting including emails, cold calling, video, and social outreach.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales pipeline through multi-channel prospecting including emails, cold calling, video, and social outreach.
- Identify business initiatives and challenges faced by prospective customers, along with the key decision makers who are affected.
- Deepen understanding of our product, its use cases, and any company initiatives through our onboarding program and Learning Management System.
- Leverage resources to help you master our tech stack and understand customer challenges.
- Collaborate closely with multiple Account Executive/Managers to prospect into new accounts.
- Utilize AI to decrease the administrative burden that normally accompanies the role, including prospecting new business, researching accounts, and synthesizing information.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of relevant professional experience with prospecting, cold calling, emailing, networking, and researching.
- A strong sense of curiosity, enabling you to identify business initiatives and challenges faced by prospective customers, along with the key decision makers who are affected.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A proven ability to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
- An ability to interpret and adapt to changing conditions, quickly adjusting to ambiguity, and leveraging available resources to overcome obstacles with a strategic mindset.
- A strong proficiency using Salesforce and Outreach.
- Strong organization and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks.

Skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales and prospecting.

- Experience with AI tools and platforms.

Pay
USA-based roles: Annual base salary between $61,000 USD and $85,000 USD, with commission eligibility.
Canada-based roles: Annual base salary between $63,000 CAD and $88,000 CAD, with commission eligibility.
Schedule
This role is based in our Austin or Toronto office. While we do not currently have a set in-office requirement, we are evolving toward an expectation of approximately 3 days per week in-office, as business and team needs require.
