About the role

A Business Development Representative I is responsible for making outbound phone calls to generate interest in HR HealthCare’s products and build relationships with new and existing customers. The primary objective is to create a pipeline of qualified leads and close opportunities, growing the assigned territory while increasing revenue.

Some travel (15–20%) is required within the assigned territory for account meetings, in-services, or implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a sound understanding of HR HealthCare’s products, including potential uses, target users, product capabilities, and features and benefits to end customers.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of competitive products and how HR HealthCare’s products are differentiated.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Acute and Non-Acute medical distribution model and the interplay between Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), distributors, and healthcare facilities.
  • Engage with existing and potential customers through phone calls and emails to generate qualified leads and opportunities, converting customers to HR HealthCare’s products.
  • Employ HR HealthCare’s Unlimited Impact Sales Methodology to increase engagement, understand customer needs, gather relevant information, learn about the purchasing process, and effectively present products.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at existing and potential Acute and Non-Acute facility customers to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Utilize external resources, including GPO and distribution representatives, to engage with customers, generate leads, and convert opportunities.
  • Leverage HR HealthCare’s customer and sales data to uncover additional sales opportunities with existing clients.
  • Achieve monthly fundamentals, including required daily calls and emails, product trials, and wins within the territory.
  • Utilize HR HealthCare’s CRM system and document all customer activity.
  • Support the Business Development Manager and perform related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all HR HealthCare’s policies and procedures, and demonstrate the company’s Values, Mission, and Vision.
  • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude and work effectively as a team player.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Up to 15–20% travel within assigned territory for account meetings, in-services, or implementation.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in HR HealthCare’s CRM and related sales tools.
  • 6 months to 1 year of proven business development skills (pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience a plus but not required).
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Effectiveness working independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
