The role
Are you ready to level up your career and become a key player in an exciting, fast-paced sales environment? ShiftKey, recognized by Fast Company as one of its Most Innovative Companies in 2024, is looking for a motivated and driven Business Development Representative to join our high-performing sales team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales Enablement, you'll play a vital role in generating product demonstration meetings and driving business opportunities across both new facilities and dormant clients.
Where you'll work
This role is based at our Irving, Texas headquarters. We believe the best onboarding and collaboration happen face-to-face, so you’ll start on-site five days a week during your first few months. Following ramp-up, a hybrid schedule (one remote day per week) may be available with manager approval and depending on business needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Initiate outbound calls and qualify potential clients for our products and services.
- Work closely with the Sales Account Executives to set up product demonstration meetings and, in some cases, lead the demos yourself.
- Reach out to prospects across various market segments to introduce ShiftKey’s services and set demo meetings.
- Foster ongoing communication via phone, email, and meetings to help meet and exceed individual monthly and quarterly goals.
- Participate in enterprise meetings and collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize sales strategies.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to understand client needs, while using your insights to retain and upgrade business clients.
- Contribute to the sales team by learning and developing the skills required to transition into a Sales Account Executive role in the future.
What You'll Need
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a sales capacity.
- Experience in inside sales, phone-based sales, or similar roles, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage with prospects and internal teams.
- Comfort with using software, sales tools, and technology platforms to manage leads and track progress.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adjusting to new challenges with ease.
