About the role

The Business Development Coordinator/Representative serves as the liaison between Cedar Springs Hospital, the community, and referring agencies. This role is responsible for creating demand for Cedar Springs Hospital services through ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development Team, the Coordinator/Representative presents a positive and professional public image of the facility, implements the facility’s strategic sales plan, enhances the facility’s brand/image, manages their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Cedar Springs Hospital, the community, and referring agencies.
  • Implement the facility’s strategic sales plan and enhance the facility’s brand/image.
  • Manage assigned territory and accounts to achieve business development goals.
  • Demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent local travel required; may include overnight travel as needed.
  • Adapt to new program/computer software as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
  • Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License required.
  • Knowledge of the Northern and Denver Colorado behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets, and referral sources.
  • Understanding of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming.
  • Demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, and competency in computer usage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Strong customer service skills and adherence to deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
  • Military experience preferred.
  • May require COVID-19 vaccinations for air travel as outlined by UHS travel policy.
