BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving facility growth and census for our hospital outpatient program by cultivating relationships with healthcare providers and board & cares administrators to generate patient referrals. This high-profile marketing position is ideal for a dynamic healthcare professional that is organized and self-motivated, demonstrates teamwork and cooperation, and has a passion for working with the mental health population.
Responsibilities
- Proven track record of sales and marketing of wellness or health-related programs, treatments or services.
- Highly proficient with face-to-face marketing, relationship-building, and account management.
- Knowledge of behavioral healthcare environments - residential facilities, agencies, hospitals, board & cares.
- Demonstrate above average problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate superior sales skills: active listening, rapport building and objection management.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak one-on-one and in groups.
- Ability to interpret and communicate data from statistical reports.
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate all hospital treatments and services we offer.
- Ability to use good judgement and to maintain confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
Education: High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance in applicable state.
