About the role

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Representative will drive growth by engaging former and potential clients and building relationships with referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth by consistently increasing the client census.
  • Meet or exceed established sales targets.
  • Generate client referrals from professional referral sources.
  • Call on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics, and eldercare facilities to generate sales for Home Care Staffing.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing referral sources.
  • Represent our agency professionally and knowledgeably in the healthcare community.
  • Seek, develop, and participate in marketing opportunities within the community.
  • Deliver compassionate problem resolution to clients and caregivers.
  • Educate supports coordination organizations regarding AmeriBest services.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills, alongside strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently.
  • Communication: Communicates persuasively; actively listens and seeks clarification when needed.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates an empathetic attitude towards the care of clients and their family members.
  • Ability to manage competing demands for time and resources while independently prioritizing work responsibilities.
  • Ability to function effectively as a highly collaborative team member.
  • Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel), EMR systems, general accounting software, and applicable internet resources per company policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 1+ years of sales experience required.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience required.
  • 1+ years of recent experience in a home care agency, marketing role, or other healthcare field is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with consumers, the elderly, and their families is preferred.
  • Experience with the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) and home care waiver programs is a plus.
  • CHC home care experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with one or more major web-based home health database software programs (experience with HHAeXchange is a strong plus).

  • Conduct yourself in an ethical manner consistent with the AmeriBest mission statement and Standards of Conduct.
  • Protect the privacy of protected records and conduct yourself consistent with all applicable laws and policies regarding privacy protection, including HIPAA and state-specific privacy laws.

Physical Demands

  • Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
  • Occasional requirement to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Standard business office environment with a moderate noise level.
