Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. In addition to the living units, the facility houses New Day Academy, a state-supported year-round K-12th grade school with vocational opportunities. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.
About the role
The Business Development Coordinator/Rep operates within the framework of a strategic marketing plan. This role targets potential referral sources in the assigned territory of Mobile, AL, and develops and sustains relationships with referral sources, patients and their families, and the community at large.
Responsibilities
- Operate within a strategic marketing plan to promote services.
- Target and engage potential referral sources in Mobile, AL.
- Develop and sustain relationships with referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Understand insurance concepts, major payers, current rates, and managed care issues affecting the hospital and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
- At least one year of experience in marketing and behavioral healthcare is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
