Responsibilities
- Cook up and polish proposals, qualifications packages, and responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Support the creation of grant applications and the administration of local, state, and federal funding opportunities.
- Investigate emerging project prospects, funding avenues, and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with leadership, engineers, project managers, and marketing personnel to craft pursuit strategies and business development plans.
- Assist in maintaining client relationships, attending networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings.
- Create presentations, reports, meeting materials, and business development communications.
- Track business development opportunities, update databases, and assist in pursuit planning and reporting.
- Coordinate meetings, proposal kickoffs, strategy sessions, and post-meeting follow-ups.
- Organize business development events.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- At least three years of experience in business development, marketing, proposal coordination, or similar roles, particularly within engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services.
- Experience with grant writing and grant administration is highly valued.
- Familiarity with Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs) processes and proposal development is essential.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing numerous tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, productivity tools, and InDesign is beneficial.
