About the role
The Business Development Officer is responsible for achieving organizational loan, lending, and growth objectives under the supervision of the Chief Engagement Officer.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and generates new business opportunities for the organization.
- Develops and cultivates relationships with prospective clients, existing clients, and referral partners, including banks and other nonprofit organizations.
- Manages relationships and applications for successful structuring of credit accounts.
- Structures and maintains credit accounts, monitors portfolio performance, and ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains pipeline of client opportunities, negotiates solutions, and provides strategic recommendations to support organizational growth.
- Ensures confidentiality of all privileged information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- At least 18 months of experience in client-facing, administrative, or support roles within a service-based or financial organization, or equivalent.
