About the role

This position is responsible for developing a plan for bringing in new Business Purpose investors/developers, rental loans, etc., while maintaining an active sales pipeline and obtaining complete documentation for loan approvals. The role will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to expand market presence, cultivate strong relationships with non-agency correspondent lenders, and drive revenue growth across the nation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in non-agency correspondent lending, a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy to achieve growth targets and increase market share in non-agency correspondent lending.
  • Identify, target, and onboard new non-agency correspondent lenders, fostering long-term partnerships and driving new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing non-agency correspondent lenders, providing exceptional service, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions specific to the non-agency space to identify new opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, with a specific focus on non-agency guidelines.
  • Work closely with other departments, including operations, underwriting, and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful national sales management and meeting or exceeding sales targets in the non-agency space.
  • Strong network within the non-agency correspondent lending community.
  • In-depth knowledge of non-agency mortgage products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive results in the non-agency sector.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in correspondent lending sales or a related role within the non-agency mortgage industry.
  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develops and executes national sales strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Relationship Management: Builds and maintains high-value partnerships with correspondent sellers.
  • Market Expertise: Demonstrates deep knowledge of non-Agency/Non-QM lending, including DSCR products and trends.
  • Results Orientation: Consistently meets or exceeds sales goals and drives revenue performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works effectively across teams to deliver seamless client experiences.

Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
