About the role

Responsible for day-to-day operations coordination at local offices within the Region. You will receive, record, and distribute work orders based on customers’ requests for service, represent company policies and culture, and provide operational support for customer nominations, job orders, invoicing, safety/calibration documentation, training, and marketing across all regional locations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive orders from specialized clients, both written and verbal.
  • Create and maintain job files.
  • Prepare and issue job orders and lab instructions.
  • Handle financial reporting for the local office, including timely billings and collections.
  • Ensure all required information is distributed and understood by staff.
  • Keep all parties fully informed during assignments.
  • Ensure staff have adequate resources to safely perform all work.
  • Ensure staff are trained and competency records are maintained.
  • Maintain corporate policy and procedure at the office level.
  • Provide employee motivation and champion the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of local market requirements.
  • Understand customer requirements and organize office procedures, schedules, and staffing to meet or exceed them.
  • Foster customer confidence in Bureau Veritas work.
  • Support ISO certification(s) and manage corrective/preventive actions.
  • Review local operations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure business practices meet or exceed company policy and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance in all areas.
  • Read, understand, and enforce company Quality and Safety policies.
  • Represent Bureau Veritas professionally in appearance and conduct.
  • Behave ethically at all times.
  • Maintain an “on-call” status 24 hours a day as directed.
  • Complete Operations Supervisor duties as needed, excluding field and audit responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; more than five years of inspection-related experience.
  • Knowledge of company Health, Safety, Environment (HS&E) procedures and associated governmental regulations.
  • Broad experience in inspection-related business and in-depth understanding of local business operations and customer base.
  • A college degree is not required, but advanced formal education and/or management training is desirable.

Skills

  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers and employees.
  • Strong communication skills for all levels of employees within the company.
