Business Development Manager, Small Market
About the role
ProService Hawaii is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow its small business client base across Oahu. The role involves selling HR, payroll, and benefits solutions to local business owners, emphasizing the importance of building long-term partnerships in a relationship-driven market.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by conducting discovery meetings, managing the full sales cycle, and closing new business independently
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through canvassing, cold calling, referrals, and networking across Oahu
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans targeting local businesses across various industries
- Present ProService's value proposition effectively to business owners and decision-makers at all levels
- Participate in networking and prospecting events, occasionally outside traditional business hours
- Collaborate with team members to contribute to a shared culture of winning and celebrating successes together
Requirements
Prior B2B sales experience is required. Experience in HR, payroll, or employer services is a plus, but a strong sales foundation and a genuine drive to win matter more. Candidates must be ready to learn fast and execute, with a track record of closing new business in a B2B environment.

- Experience managing a full sales cycle, handling objections confidently, and building relationships
- Ability to listen before pitching, ask good questions, and tailor approaches to clients' needs
- Consistent activity and willingness to put in the work to earn trust in the local market

Pay
The base compensation for this position is $90,000 per year, with performance-based commission earning up to $60,000 upon achieving quota.
