Job Title: Business Development Manager | Professional ServicesEmployment Type: Full-TimeWork Model: Hybrid (Irvine, CA)Location: Irvine, CaliforniaBase Salary: $150,000–$200,000 DOEAdditional Compensation: Bonus Based on Individual and Firm Performance About the Role We're working with a large, established California law firm looking to hire a Business Development Manager to generate new business and expand its presence throughout Orange County. This is an externally focused business development role, not a traditional marketing position. We're looking for someone who has experience selling professional services, building relationships with C-suite executives and business owners, and personally generating new business opportunities. Think business development at a CPA, consulting, or advisory firm. You develop relationships, identify business needs, and introduce clients to the professionals who can help them. Here, those professionals are attorneys instead of accountants or consultants. An established Orange County business network is essential. Prior law firm experience is not required. What You'll Do You'll leverage your existing Orange County business relationships to identify prospective clients, develop new opportunities, and connect decision-makers with the firm's attorneys. You will remain involved throughout the business development process, helping maintain relationships, coordinate next steps, and move opportunities forward. The attorneys ultimately establish the attorney-client relationships and close the legal engagements. What You'll Be Doing Leverage and expand existing relationships within the Orange County business community to identify new business opportunities.Proactively develop relationships with executives, business owners, and prospective clients.Identify business needs and connect prospective clients with the appropriate attorneys.Stay engaged beyond the initial introduction, coordinating follow-ups and helping move opportunities forward.Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership to develop new client relationships and expand existing opportunities.Participate in local networking, professional organizations, and business development activities. Compensation Base salary of $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience, with bonuses based on individual and firm performance.
