Business Development Manager, Personal Care

Job Summary

Ecolab is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Business Development Manager, Personal Care. This role involves selling total plant solutions directly into an assigned geographic territory, including consumable chemistries, novel monitoring systems, and various site-assessment and training services.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic market development, creating and executing a go-to-market strategy, and establishing credibility with customers. You will also provide technical support and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create a strategic growth plan for your geography
• Enhance brand presence and recognition
• Take market share from competitors
• Be recognized as a regional industry partner
• Monitor and update on competitor activity
• Adjust the approach to create the best possible outcome for the customer and Ecolab's growth/profitability
• Develop and execute a sales pipeline in critical markets
• Cultivate self-driven leads for new opportunities
• Closing new accounts
• Prepare and deliver customized total value recommendations
• Leverage knowledge of the Personal Care industry and sales experience to establish credibility with customers
• Provide and/or coordinate access to technical support
• Establish effective communication with other team members and internal functions
• Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree
• 5 years of practical experience in Personal Care, VMS production (CIP / COP platforms)
• Ability to travel 80% within North America based on customer needs
• Experience in understanding/troubleshooting of cleaning and sanitization for personal care customers (CIP / COP platforms)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to obtain international travel visas as required

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Science or Engineering preferred
• Experience in Life Sciences Industry (Personal Care, VMS) preferred
• Demonstrated familiarity with/experience of with internal or external auditing preferred
• Experience in change control processes preferred
• Flexibility to work on and control different projects at the same time while still meeting set deadlines preferred
• Good knowledge of existing guidelines dealing with cleaning and disinfection/CIP COP (EMA; FDA), CC (MHRA; FDA) preferred

Location

Location is flexible but needs to be near a major airport.
