About the role

Clinical Architecture is seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for seeking out and closing revenue-generating opportunities within the Interoperability Solutions market, which includes but is not limited to Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), Qualified Health Information Networks (QHINs), Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs), and more. This role is based on-site at our Carmel, IN Headquarters, five days a week. While we are an in-office organization, we offer flexibility when needed to ensure work-life balance and uninterrupted business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Find business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales approaches.
  • Sell services and solutions by establishing contacts and developing relationships with prospects.
  • Provide management with verbal and written reports as requested on client requirements, areas of opportunity, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new services and solutions.
  • Demonstrate services and solutions to existing and prospective clients and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Take a hands-on approach to managing designated responsibilities to meet Clinical Architecture’s goals and objectives.
  • Determine when to recruit other internal departments and stakeholders in managing the opportunity.
  • Ensure all information concerning the designated client is shared with and distributed to all appropriate internal resources, as well as kept up to date in HubSpot.
  • Attend trade shows, client user meetings, and client site visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct business-to-business sales experience.
  • Experience in SaaS or Healthcare backgrounds desired.
  • Experience dealing with customer’s systems utilizing integrated or software-type products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player attitude with a will to win.
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative.
  • Proficient in HubSpot or equivalent CRM.
  • Medical software sales experience is a plus.
