About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and strategic success within our Capital Markets, Funds, and Real Estate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or client service, with a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop targeted business development strategies
- Support pitch and RFP processes
- Oversee marketing efforts that elevate our practice groups
- Contribute to firm-wide success through strategic insights
- Mentor junior team members and work independently
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of marketing, business development, or client service experience
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic business development and marketing initiatives
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for creating persuasive pitch materials and RFP responses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools
- Solid understanding of client relationship management and experience fostering client growth
- Ability to analyze market data, competitive intelligence, and research to inform strategic decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or related fields; JD or MBA is a plus
- 7+ years of relevant experience in business development or marketing roles
- Active engagement in industry events, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives
- Willingness to support special projects such as lateral integration, internal trainings, or firmwide materials
- Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Skills
- Experience working with practice groups focused on Capital Markets, Funds, or Real Estate
- Knowledge of industry directories, surveys, and awards such as Chambers or Legal 500
- Experience creating content such as client alerts, newsletters, webinars, or podcasts
- Familiarity with legal or professional services marketing and branding initiatives
