Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive national business development strategies to significantly expand our construction lending portfolio
- Proactively identify and pursue high-value business opportunities with mortgage brokers, developers, builders, and real estate investors across the United States
- Conduct thorough analysis of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage
- Establish and cultivate robust relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to ensure long-term business success
- Collaborate effectively with regional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and achievement of national objectives
- Perform rigorous financial analysis and risk assessment of potential lending opportunities to minimize risk exposure and maximize returns
- Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to potential clients and partners to secure new business
- Implement and maintain a robust system for monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to business development and portfolio growth
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction lending to ensure compliance and optimize business operations
Qualifications
- Experience in construction lending or a related field
- Proven success in business development or sales, preferably in a national role
- In-depth knowledge of construction lending practices, real estate market dynamics, and financial regulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and market trends
- Excellent relationship management and networking abilities
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of construction industry trends and market cycles
- Ability to work independently and make decisive, strategic decisions
- Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building long-term client relationships
