About the role

You think in systems, not tasks. When a CEO describes what feels stuck, you're already three moves ahead, mapping the landscape, finding the lever. You're not here to fill a quota. You're here because you want a seat at the table where decisions get made, and you want to be the person who helped leadership get there.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, qualify, and advance all inbound leads, quickly and without drop-off.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records in the CRM and communicate forecast to the COO on a regular cadence.
  • Audit prospect fit against MW’s ideal client profile; escalate or redirect leads that don’t fit.
  • Lead discovery conversations with CEOs and senior leadership to understand their business context, organizational dynamics, and real needs.
  • Articulate MW’s value proposition clearly across industries and buyer types without pressure, and without a script.
  • Navigate stakeholder complexity, procurement, and legal to advance and close engagements.
  • Close new business with clear, documented agreements that set every engagement up for success.
  • Draft proposals and SOWs in collaboration with strategists, project managers, and subject matter leads.
  • Price engagements within established guardrails; seek COO alignment on major scopes.
  • Ensure every proposal reflects MW’s standards for quality, clarity, and financial discipline.
  • Set expectations accurately before agreements are signed.
  • Own the transition from signed client to active account through the onboarding period.
  • Transfer full client context to the assigned Account Manager, including business needs, relationship dynamics, deal history, and expectations.
  • Complete handoff only when the client relationship is stable and the Account Manager is fully oriented.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building relationships with midsize company CEOs and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to close complex, consultative engagements. This is not transactional sales.
  • A macro thinker who can hold the big picture while managing the details that make deals move.
  • Someone who energizes rooms, not just fills them. You know how to make people feel heard and leave them wanting to continue the conversation.
  • High autonomy, low ego. You want independence and the ability to earn recognition.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You don’t need everything mapped before you move.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and CEOs in midsize companies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and consultative selling techniques.
  • Experience with CRM software.

Skills

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
