About the role

The role is pivotal for a commercially astute professional who drives growth across key construction and building services markets. The business is expanding and investing in senior talent to support its next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, healthcare and specialist sectors
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Leading bid strategy and supporting tender submissions from early engagement through to contract award
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and pipeline opportunities
  • Representing the business at industry events, meetings, and networking functions
  • Supporting long-term business planning and growth strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development within mechanical contracting, MEP, or building services
  • A strong network across contractors, consultants, and end-clients
  • Demonstrated success in securing work on large-scale construction projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of exceeding targets

Qualifications

  • Commercially astute professional with a proven track record in business development
