The role is pivotal for a commercially astute professional who drives growth across key construction and building services markets. The business is expanding and investing in senior talent to support its next phase of growth.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, healthcare and specialist sectors
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and key stakeholders
- Leading bid strategy and supporting tender submissions from early engagement through to contract award
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and pipeline opportunities
- Representing the business at industry events, meetings, and networking functions
- Supporting long-term business planning and growth strategy
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development within mechanical contracting, MEP, or building services
- A strong network across contractors, consultants, and end-clients
- Demonstrated success in securing work on large-scale construction projects
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of exceeding targets
