About the role

CBTax is seeking commercially driven and results-oriented Business Development Managers to join the New York City office. This role is suited to experienced business development professionals with proven track records in consultative sales, client acquisition, and revenue growth within fast-paced, high-performance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential clients and close new business through networking, strategic outreach and targeted sales efforts.
  • Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities while building relationships with decision makers to drive referrals and ensure clients get a gold level service.
  • Own the full sales cycle of your own portfolio
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities to generate new business.
  • Qualify leads and book high-value client meetings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax credits to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead-generation strategies and optimise conversion rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in our Salesforce system to track progress and outcomes.
  • Achieve and exceed sales activity targets, unlocking additional performance-based rewards.
  • Meet and exceed KPI’s
  • Manage client accounts where you will receive ongoing commission from successful claims.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in consultative sales. Ideally in R&D Tax Credits but not essential.
  • Enjoy building strong client relationships and delivering high-value solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in consultative sales.

Pay

Up to $110,000 basic per annum + uncapped commission (OTE $210,000 - $250,000 per annum)
