About the role

The Behavioral Health Business Development Liaison at Saint Mary's Regional Health System Russellville, AR supports patients and community members receiving care in the facilities. This role involves initiating dialogues with potential and current referral sources, developing sales strategies, and implementing marketing plans to increase patient admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate one-on-one dialog with potential referral sources and maintain positive relationships with current referral sources.
  • Design, develop, and drive cutting-edge sales strategies to increase patient admissions through long-term relationships with referring facilities, clinics, community partners, and physicians.
  • Implement an effective marketing plan to achieve budgeted census, patient mix, referral, and contact objectives.
  • Maintain appropriate statistics and generate reports as required by the facility hospital's policy and procedures.
  • Communicate with physicians, discharge planners, social workers, and other referral sources as needed.
  • Conduct sales calls on existing and potential referral sources to maintain a constant flow of referrals and solve problems as necessary.
  • Identify and follow-up on opportunities to increase profitability, efficiency, and market share.
  • Follow-up on internal and external issues related to the referral and admission processes to ensure rapid solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of and promote programs and internal resources.
  • Review and provide written analysis of denial tracking on a monthly basis, recommending a plan of action.
  • Develop and maintain systems to increase and maximize inpatient to PHP/IOP or other program conversions at the facility.
  • Review and provide written analysis of referrals and admissions by medical director, hospital, and payer source, recommending and implementing an action plan.
  • Monthly review and analysis of marketing contacts, recommending and implementing an action plan.
  • Schedule and conduct presentations and tours of the facility to referral sources, professionals, and family members.
  • Participate in community activities that promote the facility service(s).
  • Ensure consistent marketing of the facility is implemented, including newspaper advertisements, television advertisements, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Clinical Licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, RN, LPN), formal sales training.
  • Two years marketing/sales experience.
  • Demonstrated healthcare sales experience - lead generation, educating referral sources, persistent follow up, and follow through on all leads, and experience working in a clinical setting directly involved with patient diagnosis and/or assessing acuity for complex patients.
