About the role
Alutiiq Information Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks a Business Development Lead in San Diego, CA to support in-house business development activities for C5ISR systems at Naval Information Warfare Center San Diego (NIWC San Diego).
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with C5ISR, digital engineering, autonomy, and manufacturing support services.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and partnership opportunities in DoD, NATO, and Foreign Military Sales sectors.
- Cook up proposals and develop paths or technology transition in coordination with engineers, scientists, and project leads.
- Conduct Return on Investment and Cost Benefit analysis.
- Maintain relationships with government stakeholders (NIWC Pacific, NAVWAR, ONR, NAVAIR) and industry primes to align with broader mission needs.
- Lead media development, manage STEM outreach events.
- Coordinate the design and production of materials highlighting key capabilities in Mixed Reality, Reality Capture, Advanced Manufacturing, Cyber Security, Computer Vision and Robotics.
- Ensure compliance with DoD visual standards, branding guidelines, and public affairs policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Technology-related field preferred. An MBA is desired but not required.
- Previous experience working with Senior military personnel in both an operational and maintenance setting is required. This includes knowledge and ability to create reports and briefs at the flag level.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource management, personnel supervision, establishing policies, and acting as the primary point of contact with higher authorities and sometimes the public.
- Must be familiar with C5ISR system architecture and understand execution of program objectives and engineering activities within NAVWAR and PEO C4I.
- Experience with contracting, including vendor negotiations, applicable technology contracts, and understanding of access constraints and the ability to arrange/negotiate assignments as required to execute directed job efforts.
- Understanding of roles and interactions between higher echelon Navy commands is required.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship status required.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
