Key Responsibilities
- Own new business development for the New York market: prospecting, pitching, and closing new accounts among top A&D firms, developers, and luxury clients.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities, working with the Coordinator to keep clients well served.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that connect individual client relationships to broader company growth goals.
- Represent Artemest at industry events, trade shows, and showroom appointments as the face of the brand in the NYC design community.
- Hand off won projects to the Sales & Project Coordinator for quoting and execution, staying engaged as the primary relationship owner throughout.
- Cook up and coordinate with Milan HQ on custom and bespoke requests, pricing, and lead times to support the sales process.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and the NYC design community to sharpen positioning and surface new opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior team members as the New York team grows.
- Bring client feedback back into the business to continuously sharpen Artemest’s offer and service model.
Requirements
- 5+ years in business development, sales, or account management within design, luxury goods, or a related high-touch industry.
- An established network within New York’s A&D and luxury design community, with the credibility to open doors at the highest level.
- A proven record of winning new business and growing revenue, not just maintaining relationships.
- Comfort working autonomously with a pipeline, closing complex, multi-touchpoint opportunities independently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the polish to represent a luxury brand at every level.
- An entrepreneurial, growth-first mindset, motivated by building something and by performance-based upside rather than base-salary comfort.
- Based in New York and able to attend client meetings, events, and gallery appointments locally.
