About the role
Vitesse Systems is looking for Business Development Executives to join the team in Longmont, CO. This role focuses on business development for satellite antennas, RF payloads, and mission-critical RF hardware across defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage opportunity pipelines aligned with corporate growth goals and strategic partnerships.
- Convert pipeline opportunities to meet quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Lead capture strategy development for priority U.S. government programs in defense, intelligence, and civil space.
- Direct capture teams through win strategy creation, customer engagement planning, and solution positioning.
- Oversee competitor assessments, pricing strategy input, and proposal readiness reviews.
- Partner closely with Program Management, and Technical Leadership to ensure pursuit alignment and bid quality.
- Maintain trusted relationships with federal stakeholders, primes, and key subcontractors across the national security ecosystem.
- Drive disciplined, metrics-based capture reviews and ensure adherence to internal governance processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5-12+ years of experience in federal business development or government contracting, ideally within aerospace, defense, or mission systems.
- Proven track record leading successful captures $10M – 100M with agencies such as DoD, NASA, or the Intelligence Community.
- Expertise in DoD and IC acquisition frameworks, FAR/DFARS compliance, and federal contracting strategy.
- Strong leadership presence, executive communication skills, and ability to engage directly with senior government decision-makers.
- Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.

Schedule
The schedule is flexible to accommodate travel needs, typically up to 50%.
