Business Development Executive - Outside Sales
New Business Development
The BDE will search for potential clients, visit medical complexes and physicians / health care professionals to obtain referrals. They will also identify pharmacies (non-compounders / compounders) and successfully convert their business to Medisca, increasing Medisca’s share of existing accounts and educating health care professionals on compounding to increase scripts.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships
- Encourage collaboration between physicians, pharmacists and Medisca
- Generate sales from inactive and new customers
- Cold call prospective customers and determine opportunities to create business
- Research new potential client options and follow up on referrals from existing clients
- Open new accounts and support onboarding
Maintaining Existing Accounts & Relationship Building
The BDE will attain monthly sales objectives and monitor profit margins, analyze territory trends and identify opportunities, regularly track and increase pharmacist business, follow up with customers on sales and product availability, suggest new revenue sources and products, ensure clients' data and calls are kept relevant and current in systems, and proactively follow up with clients to ensure they always have the support they need.

Travel
- Visit customers 80% of the time
- Travel away (flights, hotels, and driving)
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- College or University degree
- Experience as a pharmacy technician, knowledge of compounding or representative in pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in a sales role
- Proven abilities in discovering opportunities, developing strategies and closing sales
- Effective organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Memorable, dynamic & animated communication and listening skills; fluent English (written & oral) required
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook) required
