Business Development Executive
About the role
Infosys is seeking talented Business Development Executives (BDEs) to help shape the future of industries across our US hubs. As a BDE, you will bring the power of AI to our clients and help them see what's possible.
Required Qualifications
- MBA degree from a reputable university with 2+ years of work experience.
- Aptitude and attitude to rapidly learn and abstract ideas, industries, technologies, and solutions.
- Empathetic and strategic mindset with a broad-based understanding of industry and business.
- Experience independently leading portfolios and account expansion.
- Experience providing market development, competitor analysis, and opportunity analysis.
- Ability to rally colleagues, prospects, and clients around your ideas and deals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a global delivery environment.
Assessment Requirement
Candidates will be required to complete a 2-4 slide presentation to pitch a sales idea before their interview.
Areas Of Responsibilities
Client Discovery & Initial Prospect
- Conduct competitive analysis to develop a unified market view, collaborating with pre-sales teams for sector-specific insights.
- Identify prospects and initiate communication with C-level executives to introduce Infosys solutions.
Stakeholder Alignment
- Ensure the client or prospect involves Infosys in their Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Function as a single point of contact for the customer on behalf of Infosys and internally, aligning all technical and supporting function stakeholders to drive the deal to completion within stipulated timelines.
Proposal Development & Pricing
- Create proposals and Statements of Work (SoWs), coordinating with different stakeholders including multiple delivery units of Infosys, procurement, and legal.
- Perform quantitative analysis to arrive at the win-price recommended and perform relevant competitor analysis to demonstrate business value to the client and maintain price premium.
Proposal Negotiation & Closure
- Create 'customer map' of named customers with potential/articulated objections to Infosys and recommend actions, providing supporting analyses needed during negotiation to articulate business value and win the deal at the right price premium.
Contracting and Master Service Agreement
- Provide a business-led view on items of contract negotiations.
Account Management & Growth – Farming
- Allocate accounts to manage, collaborate with Infosys Service Delivery Units to map business areas for growth within the account, and leverage existing client relationships to secure meetings and forge relationships with new customer stakeholders at the C/C-1 level.
- Secure new deals via new deals and mine the account via new deals.
Customer Stakeholder Management
- Be the single point of contact for customer escalations and grievances.
- Maintain regular contact with customer stakeholders to address pain points and present Infosys' value propositions.
- Participate in executive reviews, ensure strategic positioning in presentations, and identify key stakeholders for Customer Satisfaction to minimize revenue leakage and enhance client satisfaction.
- Build positive client relationships to serve as references for prospects.
Account Operations
- Oversee the revenue receipt and recognition from the services delivered to the client, aligning with client stakeholders and reviewing account operations periodically to ensure smooth operations.
- Consult with service delivery units to ensure the right personnel are staffed throughout the duration of the engagement for smooth delivery.
Soft Skills
- Ability to learn quickly regarding the business processes of the client, Infosys' processes, and service lines.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- The ability to display initiative and work in an unstructured environment is a must.
- Comfortable and excited to be in a customer-facing level.
Hard Skills
- Basics of financial drivers for an IT organization.
- Drafting business cases for client pitches.
- Global understanding of economy to make sane judgments in negotiations.
