Job Description
The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, developing and securing strategic programme, project management, cost management and advisory opportunities across Turner & Townsend’s Global Energy & Natural Resources sector.
Role Purpose
- Drive growth across Oil & Gas, LNG, Nuclear, Clean & Low Carbon Energy, Power Generation, Power Transmission & Distribution, and Mining.
- Work closely with global sector leaders, regional management teams and key client account leaders.
- Position Turner & Townsend as the partner of choice for the successful delivery of complex capital programmes and major infrastructure investments.

- Oil & Gas:
- Upstream oil and gas developments
- Offshore and onshore production facilities
- FPSOs and floating production systems
- Midstream infrastructure, pipelines and terminals
- Gas processing and treatment facilities
- Brownfield modifications and asset optimisation programmes

- LNG export and import terminals
- Liquefaction and regasification facilities
- FLNG developments
- LNG storage and transportation infrastructure
- Associated utilities and supporting infrastructure

- New nuclear build programmes

- Nuclear infrastructure and supporting facilities
- Nuclear decommissioning and waste management programmes

Qualifications
- Experience & Qualifications:
- Significant business development experience within Energy & Natural Resources, infrastructure, professional services, consultancy, engineering or project delivery environments.
- Demonstrated success in originating and securing major capital programmes, projects or framework agreements.
- Deep sector knowledge across one or more of the following: Oil & Gas, LNG, Nuclear, Clean & Low Carbon Energy, Power Generation, Power Transmission & Distribution, Mining.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain executive-level client relationships.
- Experience leading complex pursuits, proposals and commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of major capital project delivery and investment lifecycles.
- Experience operating effectively in international and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Preferred:
- Experience across multiple Energy & Natural Resources sub-sectors.
- Existing network within global developers, operators, utilities, investors and government organisations.
- Degree qualified in an engineering, commercial, business or related discipline.
- Professional membership of relevant industry bodies.
