Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and prioritize veterinary practices, and related organizations as prospective partners
  • Execute targeted outreach strategies including outreach, referrals, networking, and event engagement
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives
  • Conduct introductory calls and meetings to understand practice needs, challenges, and goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians, practice owners, and decision-makers
  • Represent Heritage Vet Partners at veterinary conferences, trade shows, veterinary schools, and association events
  • Support efforts to increase brand awareness within veterinary programs and professional organizations
  • Deliver a consistent and compelling message aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Heritage Vet Partners
  • Support the advancement of prospects through the business development and partnership pipeline
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, outreach, and pipeline activity in CRM systems
  • Aid in coordinating communication between business development and internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, M&A, leadership)
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of target lists and growth strategies
  • Provide market feedback and insights from veterinary professionals to inform company strategy
  • Support onboarding and transition of new partners to ensure a smooth integration experience

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution required with five (5) years veterinary clinical practice experience. Preference will be given to those candidates with private practice ownership experience.
  • Current licensure in at least 1 state is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage veterinary and industry professionals.
  • Prioritization of tasks and self-motivation with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
