Business Development - DaaS and SaaS
Job Summary
The Business Development Associate will play a key role in expanding WindBorne Systems' work in both data-as-a-service and software-as-a-service sales. This role will focus on selling WindBorne's global atmospheric data and forecasts to the U.S. government and commercial customers in the climate space.

Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Find WindBorne’s next anchor customers, qualify them, and form engagement strategies
- Customer Expansion: Leverage current contracts and relationships to grow WindBorne’s existing footprint
- Alliance Cultivation: Continually grow and strengthen WindBorne’s foundational customer relationships
- Sales Lifecycle Execution: Drive every step of the sales cycle
- Technical Expertise: Become an expert on WindBorne’s products, differentiators, and our place as an authority in the weather industry
- Direct sales experience in a technical environment, with either hardware or software, and demonstrated revenue impact
- Prior success in establishing contracts with greenfield clients
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with incredible presentation creation and delivery acumen
- Deal creativity – no two customers are the same, and this role requires recognition and accommodation of that truth
- High interpersonal intuition. Know what to say and when. You will be tested on this
- Prior experience working in an early- to mid-stage startup environment
- Prior sales experience in the weather or climate industries

Pay & Schedule
- $75,000 - $120,000 plus incentive pay

Work Schedule
This role is open to hybrid candidates due to the frequent travel required.
