Business Development Associate

We are currently partnered with a leading software-focused private equity firm based in Atlanta seeking a Business Development Associate to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with seasoned investors and operators in a high-performance, collaborative environment. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:Identifying and engaging executives at software companies that align with the firm's investment strategyBuilding and maintaining relationships with market intermediaries and industry participantsConducting market research and segment mapping to uncover new investment opportunitiesProspecting using email, LinkedIn, phone, and other tools to qualify leadsSupporting add-on acquisition strategies for portfolio companiesAssisting the investment team during diligence through expert interviews and market analysis The Business Development Associate should have/be:1-3 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, software sales, or business developmentHighly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of initiativeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIntellectually curious and detail-orientedProficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools is a plusBachelor's degree required with strong academic and professional performance
