Mission
The mission of the Business Development Apprentice position is to build trust with clients, understand their problems, goals, and values, and help deliver world class solutions that positively impact their business. This role is designed to develop the apprentice into a fully qualified Business Development Representative through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world relationship building experience.
Outcomes

- Partner interaction and relationship management
- Field confidence and communication
- Business development habits and consistency
- Understanding and execution of the Entrusted approach
- Build disciplined weekly habits around outreach, follow-up, relationship development, and account support
- Absorb and execute marketing initiatives, relationship touchpoints, and account management tasks
- Collaborate effectively with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and branch leadership to support partner experience and business growth
- Operate within assigned marketing budgets and company expectations
What You’ll Do
- Support Business Development Representatives and Account Managers in maintaining and growing relationships
- Participate in meetings, ride-alongs, networking events, lunches, and field visits to learn the business development process firsthand
- Conduct consistent outreach and follow-up with referral partners and prospective accounts
- Learn partner pain points, priorities, and business goals in order to help provide valuable solutions
- Absorb and assist with marketing initiatives, relationship touchpoints, and account management tasks
- Maintain accurate notes, follow-up activities, and partner communication within company systems
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and leadership teams to support partner experience
- Learn and apply the Entrusted approach to relationship building, communication, and service
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Early in career, most likely a recent college graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years of professional experience
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, athletics, or another customer-facing environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Coachable, humble, and eager to learn
- Comfortable building relationships and interacting with people in both office and field settings
- Organized, disciplined, and willing to develop consistent habits
- Motivated by long-term growth and development rather than immediate high earnings
- Excited by the opportunity to learn Marketing and Business Development the “Entrusted Way” and grow into a Business Development Representative role over time
Compensation & Growth
- Target salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 annually (+ bonus once promoted to BDR)
- Structured development path into a Business Development Representative role within 1 to 2 years
