Business Development Analyst /Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our Pharma Solutions team. This role involves driving growth through the identification of new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting the conversion of prospects into long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate will work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to commercial strategy, and helping to position Perspectum as a leader in clinical trial innovation.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across pharma, biotech, and CRO organisations
• Building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients and partners
• Supporting the preparation of proposals, bids, and commercial materials
• Conducting market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Maintaining accurate client and prospect data within internal systems
• Representing Perspectum at international conferences and industry events
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery

Requirements

• Experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles
• Exposure to clinical trials, pharma, biotech, CROs, or medical devices (desirable, not essential)
• A degree in life sciences, business, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive mindset with a strong interest in healthcare innovation

Qualifications

• Proven track record identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting revenue growth
• Relevant experience or exposure to clinical trials, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, contract research organizations, or medical devices

Skills

• Commercial insight within sectors such as clinical trials, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, contract research organizations, or medical devices
