Business Developer - Self-Storage Industry
Responsibilities
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
- Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
- Prepare sales contracts, and keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software
- Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
- Innovation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

Skills
Experience in the self-storage industry, familiarity with relevant trade organizations and companies, strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn quickly about the business products, processes, and operations.
Benefits
This is a full-time position but circumstances may justify a 5-10 hour commitment or 20-hour commitment a week.
Pay
Commission only position with stock options.
