Rate of pay: Full time hourly $17.00/hr
About the role
As a key member of the branch leadership support team, you will coordinate administrative operations, financial processes, special events, fundraising efforts, and executive office functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit operations, business administration, community engagement, and organizational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative operations for the branch
- Manage invoice processing, deposits, petty cash, and office records
- Support branch leadership with scheduling, communications, and special projects
- Assist with fundraising campaigns and community events
- Support board and volunteer committee activities
- Maintain office supplies, systems, and administrative processes
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff, members, and community partners
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven environment
- Supervise volunteers and/or staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and YMCA rules
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Passion for community impact and the YMCA mission
- Competence and confidence to administer effective and quality coordination of the entire department
- Ability to cooperate and work with YMCA staff to provide a quality program
- Good understanding of the community and genuine willingness to work with it
- Familiarity with YMCA rules and policies
Training
- Upon hire, must complete Intro to the Y's Cause and Culture, Y's Way to Service and Engagement, and I Hear You: Service with CARE
- Refer to current training plan for specific function to identify additional required trainings for this position
- Supervisor's Training preferred if supervising

Physical and Mental Requirements
