Business Consultant (Community and NonProfit)

Role Overview

This role is a hands-on program coordination and process improvement position supporting three new community hub resource desks in the Denver metro area. The consultant will coordinate vendors and stakeholders, develop workflows and SOPs, manage resources, and help individuals access government and nonprofit benefits. The role is approximately 70% remote and 30% onsite, with flexibility in scheduling site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities across three community hub resource desk locations.
• Manage relationships with vendors and community-based organizations providing on-site services.
• Develop, document, and improve workflow processes, including writing and maintaining SOPs and desktop guides.
• Serve as a central connection point among internal teams, vendor staff, nonprofit partners, and community members.
• Monitor onsite operations to ensure workflow execution, procedural adherence, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee operational tasks such as resource inventory management and data entry.
• Support the identification and establishment of additional onsite community resources and partnerships.
• Potentially assist with a referral-based program, following detailed instructions for processing.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in program coordination and process improvement.
• Ability to create new workflows and improve operational processes in evolving programs.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and partner organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform both strategic and tactical work, from developing ideas to handling data entry and inventory checks.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with nonprofits or community-based organizations (CBOs) is strongly preferred.
• Grant management experience is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health records systems.

Work Arrangement and Travel

This position is a hybrid model, requiring regular onsite visits to three locations in the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Westminster). The work arrangement is approximately 30% onsite and 70% remote, with flexibility in scheduling site visits. The consultant will be responsible for planning their own onsite schedule.

Pay

For the states of Colorado, the pay rate for this position is $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and experience.
