Business Consultant

About the role

Cummings Electrical is seeking a Business Improvement Solutions (BIS) Consultant to partner with teams across the organization to solve business problems, improve performance, and turn strategy into action. This mid‑to‑senior‑level position will independently lead consulting workstreams, structure complex or unclear challenges, analyze information, develop recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement practical solutions. The consultant is expected to bring strong consulting skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and an innovation mindset to help the organization make better decisions and create measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of consulting, advisory, strategy, transformation, or related professional services experience.
• Experience independently leading client‑facing or internal consulting workstreams.
• Experience structuring and solving complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Experience conducting analysis and translating findings into recommendations.
• Experience developing presentations, business cases, roadmaps, or other decision‑support materials.
• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, or working sessions.
• Experience managing stakeholders with differing priorities or perspectives.
• Experience supporting implementation, transformation, or change efforts.
• Experience working across multiple functions or business areas.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, data, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent relevant consulting experience may also be considered.
• Industry experience in construction, electrical contracting, manufacturing, or service is helpful but not required.
