Business Banking Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities

Timely renewal of all loans in assigned portfolio through effective and efficient underwriting, and diligent follow-through
Succinctly analyze and underwrite renewals, modifications, restructures, etc., balancing the need to mitigate risk and customer satisfaction
Leverage data (e.g. line utilization, deposit trends, credit scores, etc.) to identify and mitigate potential/emerging risk
Accurately identify and apply credit policies, judiciously recommending approval of reasonable exceptions where the overall credit profile fits within the bank’s risk tolerance, assign risk rates timely and accurately
Collaborate with customers and/or relationship management team to obtain required financial statements and other information
Manage higher risk relationships, facilitate transfers to workout, as necessary
Negotiate with customers to restructure debt or take other actions, to mitigate higher risk credits
Work in partnership with Credit Operations and colleagues to ensure completion of all pre-closing activities
Work with Loan Operations, as necessary, to ensure data integrity, resolve issues
Assist borrowers with various servicing requests, (release collateral, guarantors, etc.)
Review and address key data integrity processes and reports
Represent the PM team in various technology, process improvement, or other initiatives to improve the speed, efficiency, and operational integrity of the team
Respond to audits, regulatory exams, and other third party reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, in Accounting, Finance or Economics highly preferred
  • At least five years direct experience in a Commercial Lending environment
  • Formal Bank Credit Training desired
