Responsibilities

  • Proactively call on clients / prospects / referral sources to ensure maximum results.
  • Acquire, expand, and retain business banking relationships, with an enhanced focus on deposit, treasury and business lending growth.
  • Participate in community and business functions to ensure a positive image for the bank within the regions marketplace and establish referral contacts within the community.
  • Achieve specific sales and services goals individually, and lead the banking center’s goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Manage the relationship with various business partner entities to ensure cross-sales along with managing service quality to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Create, train, and coach a successful sales team through the development of associates with the primary goal to serve the clients' total financial needs resulting in greater market share, wallet share, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5 + years of successful commercial or small business lending.
  • 5+ years of banking experience.
  • 5+ years successful business-to-business development experience.
  • Have working knowledge and understanding of SBA products, standard operating procedures, forms and documents, and eligibility requirements.

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of successful commercial or small business lending.
  • 9+ years of banking experience.
  • Completion of a bank training or formal credit training program.
  • Strong credit background with ability to analyze financial statements, underwrite loans, and prepare loan presentations for approval by credit committees.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.
  • Ability to think creatively and meet challenges with resourcefulness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build peer and/or team cohesiveness.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects.
  • Proficient in MS office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
