Business Banker Sr

About the role
This is an outside sales position primarily responsible for the overall success and revenue growth of an assigned portfolio and sales territory, with a focus on new member acquisition. The Sr. Business Banker will target businesses with highly complex or novel needs, originating and growing a portfolio of business (credit and depository) relationships to achieve individual and team goals.
Responsibilities
- Originate and grow a portfolio of business relationships (credit and depository) to meet individual and team goals.
- Initiate the member credit application process through high-impact prospect calls and prompt, complete financial data collection.
- Identify and target prospects within defined markets, managing an effective prospect list to drive growth in deposit, loan, and fee income portfolios.
- Achieve prospective member calling objectives and proactively uncover sales opportunities with non-members.
- Use CRM tools to track business prospects, contacts, members, events, and activities, ensuring accurate monitoring of progress.
- Retain and grow revenue from existing business members by providing continuous financial advice and securing suitable deposit, loan, and treasury products.
- Serve members in a consultative, trusted advisor role to help them recognize and address business opportunities and risks.
- Monitor portfolios, detect early warning signs of problem credits, and report risks to minimize credit loss.
- Build relationships with referral sources through networking activities, trade shows, chamber meetings, and other events.
- Provide ongoing business education to service centers, including daily huddles and monthly staff engagements.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure full "cross-sale" penetration of member relationships.
- Partner with other credit union departments (e.g., Corporate, Business Consultants, Lenders) to identify additional products and services.
- Adhere to Wings policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Requirements
- 5+ years of business-to-business related sales experience (required).
- 3+ years in a business-to-business role within a financial institution, with a focus on outbound sales (preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (required).

Pay
Pay range: $88,649 to $97,968 annually (S16) plus monthly incentives. On-Target Earnings (OTE) incentives: $12,000 annually. Car allowance: $6,240 annually. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and internal pay equity.
