About the role
This position is primarily responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships, administering a portfolio of loans, analyzing credit worthiness, monitoring loan performance, and promoting the Bank’s image to develop new and expand existing loan, deposit, and overall business relationships while contributing to the Bank’s profit and growth objectives. The incumbent provides the highest quality of service to every customer.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain business relationships by profiling and maintaining relationships, determining banking needs, selling products and services, and resolving performance issues to expand loan, deposit, and overall business relationships.
- Administer a portfolio of loans by conducting sound credit analysis of customers' financial conditions and repayment ability according to established policies, procedures, and objectives such as portfolio yield, loss ratio, and delinquency.
- Analyze credit worthiness by evaluating loan soundness, understanding customers' financial conditions and collateral positions, and assessing repayment ability in accordance with the Bank’s credit quality, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Monitor loan performance by maintaining contact with borrowers, understanding their financial conditions, and resolving problems in an accurate and timely manner to reduce risk.
- Promote the Bank’s image by participating in community development activities and service organizations in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act to establish new business contacts.
- Develop and maintain a personal program for staying knowledgeable in business development, lending, and other banking matters while demonstrating professional behavior and communication with customers and employees.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Serve as a risk manager by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring daily risks as required by F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.
- Adhere to regulatory laws and guidelines to achieve superior levels of compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in commercial or business banking.
- General knowledge of lending laws and regulations.
- Experience in successful business development and community or civic activities preferred.
