Many of our clients are construction companies, so experience supporting construction businesses is highly valuable. This is a client-facing consulting role focused on reporting, automation, business applications, process improvement, and emerging technology. AI is becoming an increasingly important part of how we serve clients, so we are looking for someone who is curious, learns quickly, and can turn new tools into practical business value. What You'll Do Partner directly with clients to understand business challenges and improve processes, reporting, workflows, and technology adoptionBuild Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that help clients better understand their businessCreate workflow automations using Microsoft Power Platform toolsIdentify practical opportunities to use AI-enabled tools and automation to improve client operationsDeploy reports and business solutions within Sage 100 Contractor and AcumaticaSupport Syscon's custom-built business applicationsTrain and support end users through implementations and ongoing consultingTranslate business needs into clear reporting, workflow, and application requirementsTroubleshoot application, reporting, workflow, and data-related issuesCollaborate with developers, consultants, and other Syscon team members to deliver complete business solutionsDocument client requirements, workflows, procedures, and recommendationsManage multiple client priorities while providing clear communication, follow-through, and timely resolutionContinuously build your knowledge and share what you learn with clients and the Syscon team Required WHAT YOU BRING At least three years of experience supporting business applications, ERP systems, reporting, business intelligence, automation, or technology consultingHands-on experience personally creating Microsoft Power BI reports or dashboardsExperience with Microsoft Power Automate or comparable workflow automation toolsWorking knowledge of SQL and SQL ServerStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience working directly with business users or clients to understand business needs, data, reporting, or workflow challengesExperience training or supporting end users on business applications, reporting, workflows, or technology toolsAbility to translate business needs into practical reporting, workflow, or technology improvementsAbility to independently research, test, and apply new tools and technologyComfort working through ambiguity, asking good questions, and moving work forward without needing every step definedStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication, organization, follow-through, and client service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of commitmentsCuriosity about AI and emerging technology, along with a willingness to continually build your knowledgeAuthorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, MIS, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience A Strong Plus Recent experience supporting specialty contractors, service contractors, general contractors, or other construction businessesMSP or technology consulting experienceMicrosoft Power AppsSharePointMicrosoft Copilot or other AI-enabled business toolsSage 100 ContractorAcumaticaERP reporting and workflow solutionsExperience working with APIs, integrations, or data connections About The Platforms This role works heavily with Microsoft business tools, reporting, workflow automation, ERP systems, and emerging AI-enabled solutions. Power BI and Power Automate are important tools in this role, with Power Apps, SharePoint, SQL Server, Microsoft Copilot, Sage 100 Contractor, and Acumatica also part of the environment. We do not expect deep expertise in every platform. However, hands-on experience personally creating Power BI reports or dashboards is a core requirement for this role and is not intended to be learned from scratch after hire. For the other platforms in our environment, we expect a solid technology foundation, experience applying technology to real business needs, and the ability to learn new applications quickly.
