Business Applications Analyst Senior (Legal Operations)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Applications Analyst Senior for our Charlotte, NC location. As a dedicated Business Applications Analyst Senior, you provide complex analytical, business, and technical support related to strategic business functions, process, and applications/IT platforms. You will lead and participate in efforts supporting business analysis and decision-making processes, including creating, implementing, and maintaining application solutions to meet business needs. This position offers a flexible work environment requiring in-office presence 4 days per week and is based in either Charlotte, NC or San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities
- Advise and provide analytical support and recommendations to stakeholders making decisions related to business and application/IT platform direction and modifications, considering current and future business needs and opportunities.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of business processes, applications/IT platforms, and strategic direction; advise customers on and facilitate the identification, research, and analysis of application/IT platform and technology solutions.
- Collaborate and exchange information with team members, stakeholders, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Research complex business issues requiring advanced knowledge of business principles and theories.
- Analyze and document business requirements for application/IT platform and data systems; direct the testing and implementation of new systems or changes to current systems to meet contractual needs and improve processes.
- Lead and participate in the design and administration of standards and policies regarding application/IT platforms and end-user customer documentation.
- Provide input and participate in establishing system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications/IT platforms.
- Provide work direction and coaching to team members and may provide input on performance and development plans.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
- 6 years of work experience in analyzing IT business processes, software application/IT platform design, and/or IT documentation, with an understanding of application/IT platform data systems and operations processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of application/IT platform administration and the software development life cycle, including testing execution.
- Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to workflow and business requirements, as well as technical functionality of IT applications/IT platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of risk and controls with experience identifying and fixing gaps, documenting controls, and testing those controls.
- Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required.
- Experience developing and managing solutions within low-code/no-code environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL or any other programming language.
Skills
- Experience in Liquid, SQL, NetDocs, Onit.
- Application Development in low-code platforms.
- System administration experience.
- Experience in Python, GraphQL, and/or Reqex.
- US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $93,770 - $179,240. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
