Business Analyst - Security & Compliance
Job Description
Works for the Technology Security and Compliance organization of Client-IT. The Security and Compliance Business Analyst/Engagement Consultant - Intermediate must follow Client-IT's project management and governance processes; work collaboratively with all Client-IT team members. The Security and Compliance Business Analyst - Advanced works with complex systems issues that result in transforming customer requirements into application and system functionality. This role ensures that development quality and the timing of system releases are operationally appropriate to meet the demand placed on us by internal and external entities. Leadership of our requirements and testing process require a skilled analyst who is able to understand a wide range processes and business expertise including knowledge of healthcare issues, processes, applications, policies, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Leads Gathering requirements, documenting requirements, reviewing requirements with development team and test team.
- Oversees testing process, including review of test use-case definitions, testing results, and setting priority of bugs to fix.
- Consults with regional and national customers; activities include sponsorship of requested functionality from triage and documentation through development, testing, training and deployment of approved requests; may include field visits with user groups, work with governance bodies and survey/feedback monitoring and analysis; leadership of internal testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all systems and applications releases related to project assignments.
- Gathers, Analyzes and Identifies Supports multiple managers/programs/projects within various functional organizations. Collects and researches specific client requirements for projects; identifies and documents functional requirements; gathers workflow data and basic system specifications.
- Creates and Distributes for Review Creates solution requirements and distributes working drafts for review and final team approval. Creates training materials, including User Guides, Troubleshooting Guides, Install Guides, and Helpdesk 1st and 2nd level Technical Support Guides. Creates Service Level Agreement and maintains changes to SLA documents.
- Day-to-day tasks of the Security and Compliance Business Analyst/Engagement Consultant - Intermediate include: Independently completes project assigned activities, and initiates project/program tasks to meet work plan milestone dates. Nurture relationships with clients and project managers so that issues can be addressed proactively and in a positive manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience with systems/process analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business, health care or related field.
- Must Requirements Understand a wide range health care processes and business expertise including knowledge of healthcare issues, workflows, applications, policies, and standards.
- Proven ability to access and analyze customer requests; advanced level software knowledge in software tools such as Captivate, Excel, Access, etc.; critical-thinking and analysis skills; proven history of exceptional customer service; advanced level communications and organizational skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Prefer consultants with 2+ years of Client experience.
- Desired Requirements Desire consultants with deep knowledge and understanding of systems and business issues: benefits, financial, pricing, actuarial, underwriting, sales and account management. Functional knowledge of Client project management tools.
