About the Role
Contract-to-hire opportunity with a major investment firm. Fully remote—candidates can be located in the United States or Canada. Work hours align with EST. Experience in retirement systems is highly desired; Omni experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Users, and cross-functional Agile teams to define business requirements and write user stories aligned with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to gather and refine business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria, maintaining a well-groomed product backlog.
- Participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning.
- Support the Agile team during iteration planning and execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze and document business processes and workflows; identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and goals.
- Assist in defining and validating solution features and capabilities during the development cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in the U.S. retirement industry, specifically around recordkeeping, retirement plans operations, and services (highly preferred), or related experience in more than one financial services area, including wealth management, asset management, investment management, payroll management, and banking.
- Experience with defined contributions is a must.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in an Agile environment.
- Experience writing Features and User Stories within a SAFe framework (strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools (nice to have).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
